Thank you!…On behalf of the family of Jim Eaves, Sr., we would like to thank each and every one of you who sent a hug or said a prayer or provided food for our family. We appreciate the outpouring of love and respect for our beloved “Papa.” Thanks to Dearld for a beautiful service, to Ann Floyd for lending her incredible voice, to Carole Quigley and Lee Alford for serving a delicious meal, and to all who helped in the preparation. God bless you all. ~ Gaye Eaves
Contributions…have been received in memory of Jim Eaves, Sr. from Mrs. Billie Boatwright, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lee, Leslie and Steve Grogan, and Claire and Powell Black.
High Chairs…the church is in need of high chairs for use during fellowship meals. If you have a high chair you can donate, please contact the church office at 469-0496.
From Carole and Don Quigley…as many of you know, I have resigned my position as church secretary and Don and I are leaving the WDBC family. Please know that we are not leaving because of any broken relationship in the congregation. Over the course of many, many months, God led us to the place where we knew He was ending our time here. It’s been agonizing because we love all of you so much! We are not disappearing, however, simply beginning a new chapter in our walk with God. He is already revealing His plans for us and we can do no less than say, “Yes, Sir!” You are not just our brothers and sisters in Christ, you are our friends. We love you dearly and will pray that God continues to bless you all. We may be walking a different path, but it’s the path God is calling us to walk, and we hope you will understand. ~ In His love, Carole and Don
